APC Prayer
Surely all praise is for (God, (Allah),, we praise Him, we seek His forgiveness, we seek refuge from of our evil souls and the evil of our actions. He is Alone with no associates.
My Lord gladdens my heart, make this task easy for me and remove any impediments from my speech.
Our Lord, teacher of Adam and Ibraheem, teach us what is useful to us, make useful to us what You teach us.
Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what You have taught us, You are all-knowing. The Wise. (2:32)
Parents Guide / Prayer
- Oh Heavenly Lord, make me a better parent, help me to understand my children, to listen patiently to what they have to say and to understand all their questions kindly.
- Keep me from interrupting them, talking back to them and contradicting them.
- May I not vainly hurt the feeling of my children, forbid that I shall laugh at their mistakes or resort to shame and reticule as punishment.
- Let me not tempt a child to lie and steal, so guide me hour by hour that I may demonstrate by all I say and do that honesty produces happiness.
- Forbid that I should ever punish them for my selfish satisfaction. May I grant them all their wishes that are reasonable and have the courage always to withhold a privilege that I know will do them no harm.
- Make me so fair and just, so considerate and companionable to my children that they have genuine esteem for me. Fit me to be loved and imitated by my children. Oh God, do give me calm and poise and self-control.
Dear Mom and Dad:
As you take your newborn home, I want you to think about giving your newborn three very precious gifts:
- Breastfeed your baby for one year or more.
- Do not smoke around your baby.
- Try to stay away from large daycares.
